Entry: January 2000

We had a great tour, now I'm home but still taking trips. I traveled in my bus for the New Year. It was beautiful. My New Year's Eve was filled with... no cliche, cliche, fuck.

Welcome to my writing process, a consistent barrage of self-deprecation.

My New Year was filled with blessings and fantastic, righteous people.

Borders make me panic. They perpetuate fears.

Stunningly happy that the world is still here. What a huge premature ejaculation that all was. Glad the Earth has given humanity a bit more time to get in line, harmonize, create balance, advance peace not fear and stop masturbating in a pool of distractions. Although we'd better get a move on.

Traveling is good. I'm in LA for 3 weeks before we leave on the next tour. Hope you all had a happy New Year. We hope to meet a lot of you again. Last time we met some ridiculously cool people with severe hook-ups.

Meanwhile I'm still looking for the next person to come into Essexgirl Records. I'm working to create that possibility on this web site. Essexgirl is personally funded by myself, so there are limitations, but we have resources. And if anyone wants to kick down, that'd be good too.

By the way, thanks to all the other people helping me do my thing. I really appreciate your time and your work. This last tour was my first. We all worked really hard, frequently doing 2 or 3 shows a day. I overcame my stage fright by the time we got to Berkeley, thank god. Incidentally, the shows with Bernstein were really pleasant.

Support Ani and buy her new album. Support all other sisters singing heart songs and doing good in the world. And men for that matter. I'm really looking forward to the Corvallis, OR show and hanging with Thais and her crew.

Last tour I chose to play a lot of high schools, a choice I'm making again. It was such a laugh, and it was a privilege to meet a bunch of appreciative, alive people. We had great discussions, and new perspectives were given to me.

The second tour begins in Los Angeles on Jan 20th at The Mint. We're following a similar path as before except we're going south to Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Texas. Amy McCormick I want to see you in Austin.

If we're coming to your town, it would be great to get your support. I'll see you all there.

With Love and Peace

Sheila
